The Ontario NDP, in collaboration with the Canadian Arab Institute, is inviting Arab youth to participate in a civic engagement and political advocacy teach-in. This training will equip participants with the skills and tools needed to organize in political environments and mobilize within their communities and constituencies.
The training is designed to build the skills, confidence, and networks needed to engage Arab Ontarians through respectful, issue-based conversations and sustained organizing through the "Yala NDP !! Let's mobilize" initiative to help build an Ontario for us all.
The Teach-in will focus on:
- Examining the rise of anti-Arab and anti-Palestinian racism in Ontario.
- Engaging Arab Ontarians on key issues such as affordability, housing, healthcare, and education, and equipping them with the resources needed to organize in their communities on these issues.
- Hearing from Arab political staffers with the Ontario NDP in a panel discussion about their experiences, perspectives, and identities in politics.
